Knowledge and Skills Required:

Highly organised with first rate secretarial skills, high level of attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous project management and secretarial experience preferred, shorthand helpful but not essential. The Role:

The overall aim of the position as a Capital Accountant will be to manage the financial control over the fixed assets, using US GAAP. You will be a part of a very important team that need to deliver excellent customer service to US Corporate, engineers and meet all business needs.
The position will include the following key responsibilities.

- Liaising with the Finance and Legal department.
-Dealing with financial enquiries.
-Ensure compliance with group policy regarding approval and acquisitions and disposals
-Ensure assets are capitalised when brought into economic use
-Complete monthly/quarterly schedules and reports within the deadlines required.
-Implement a rolling program of asset verification and support the plant controllers
-Monthly reconciliation of profit or loss disposal
-Liaise with auditors when needed to provide evidence for fixed assets valuation in the balance sheet.

Candidate Profile:

Candidates must be fluent in English to mother tongue level, or equivalent. Additional language skills could be an advantage. The successful candidate will be degree educated in ACCA or CIMA or part qualified or equivalent European Finance degree. An eye for details, well organized and have an ability to work under pressure as well as customer service skills are essential for this role. Excellent IT skills in Excel and preferably also in SAP or Oracle. Experience in US GAAP and SAP Fixed asset module would be highly beneficial.
